In recent years, significant progress has been made in the field of topological states of matter. Many new classes of topological states such as topological insulators and topological superconductors have been proposed and some of them have been realized experimentally. The interplay between symmetry and topology is the key of these new discoveries. In this small-scale summer forum, we will have both pedagogical overviews and research seminars on topological states of matter and the interplay between symmetry and topology in various physical systems. In addition, we aim at facilitating in-depth discussions on current topics and prospective future directions in this field.

Invited speakers:Erez Berg, Xie Chen, Zheng-Cheng Gu, Dung-Hai Lee, Yuan-Ming Lu, Shinsei Ryu, Senthil Todadri, Xiao-Gang Wen, Jan Zaanen, Bei Zeng
