Title:Looking for electron out-of-roundness below 10^-28 centimeters

Speaker:Dr. Kang-Kuen Ni

JILA

Abstract:The electron's electric dipole moment (eEDM) will be sensitive to particle physics beyond the standard model. We make use of the extreme electric fields found within a molecular bond to pursue an experiment to improve current limit of eEDM. I will give an overview of the principles and the implementations of our experiment in JILA.
