Areas of Research Interests/ Research Projects

I study the emergence of spacetime and gravity from quantum information theory, especially in the context of the AdS/CFT correspondence.

I am interested in information theoretic and operational interpretations of bulk concepts (such as differential entropy or bit threads), the uses of tensor networks for understanding spacetime, constraints on states with semiclassical bulk duals, circuit complexity conjectures and similar topics. Most recently, I have been pursuing the idea that modular Berry phases (phases arising from varying modular Hamiltonians) in the CFT are responsible for transport in AdS.
